I believe that successful personal training is built on trust. The best results come when trainer and client can completely trust each other and be 100% honest and transparent. Additionally, I have three core priorities: 1) keep you healthy, 2) help you reach your goals, and 3) have fun doing it.
My goal is always to keep sessions energizing, upbeat, and entertaining. Boredom is not part of my repertoire. Don’t think you won’t be working…just expect to have a smile on your face at the same time. This mindset has helped me build lasting relationships with my clients, some of whom have been training with me for over a decade.
"Chad Lattman has been my personal trainer for over 8 years. I joined a gym to help prepare myself for a cruise which included a horseback riding excursion, hoping to get my ‘challenged’ knee in better shape. Originally, I was simply going to have an introductory session and to have an exercise plan created to help with my personal needs. I had no intentions of hiring a personal trainer. After my free visit with Chad, I decided to work with him until the cruise. As I recall this was for approximately 6 weeks. Not only did I strengthen and stabilize my knee, I had a wonderful excursion, and enjoyed myself totally having gotten into better shape. These results, combined with Chad’s incredible personality and his ability to make exercising totally fun, made me such a fan that I have been seeing him three times a week ever since (not counting the snafu created by the global pandemic of 2020).
My benefits have been boundless. I am the type of person who really benefits from the added attention and discipline of a trainer. There were times initially when I thought it was outrageous to spend as much money as is required to have a personal trainer. However, several years of healthier blood work, lowered A1C, cholesterol benefits, and feeling that I have a much better mental outlook during both the easy times as well as the challenging times, have made a believer out of me. The fact that the sessions with Chad are fun is the icing on the cake!
I just had a bone density scan completed (September 2020) and found that I have increased my bone density (again). This is the second since we have been working together. This must be in large part due to the personal training! Compared to my last scan in March of 2018 are these remarks, “IMPRESSION: there has been a significant increase in the lumbar spine and no significant change in the left hip.” Did I mention that I am 70 years old?
While I have been training with Chad, and even before he and Lara were married, I became aware of the incredible wealth of knowledge that Lara possesses associated with nutrition. Her outlook on nutrition and the realistic modifications one can make based on individual needs and abilities really appealed to me. I began to see Lara for some help with enhancing my nutritional needs. I never felt judged, nor as if I could not accomplish what we worked on together. She is equally talented in her field(s) of expertise as is Chad. I really hope she begins to expand their business to include making meals-to-go, which was a wonderful guilty pleasure of mine! Clearly, I give them both my highest recommendations! "
